CADWorx Webinar: Core Tools

CADWorx Webinar: Core Tools – Clash Management, Bill of Materials and Weight and Center of Gravity Functions

Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 10:00 AM CDT (convert to your time)

Are you seeing double?!? Are the ribbon bars of CADWorx Plant and CADWorx Structure starting to look the same?

In CADWorx 2019, a synergy emerged with the common CADWorx commands: Clash Management, Bill of Materials, and Weight and Center of Gravity. Now when designers flip between the products, these shared tools have the same look and feel and, most importantly, the same functionality. Now you can run a Bill of Material on Structure objects from the CADWorx Plant ribbon or run a weight and center of gravity report on multiple disciplines from the CADWorx Structure environment.

This webinar will provide an overview of the overall process of importing PDS and Smart 3D catalog and piping specifications into Smart Reference Data and issue Smart 3D piping specs out of Smart Reference Data.

Attend this webinar to discover how to take advantage of the commonality of these tools and how to apply them to your projects!

CAESAR II Webinar: Using Load Case Multipliers to Expand Load Conditions

with Richard Ay, P.E., Vice President
Date: June 26, 2018
Time: 10 AM CDT click here to for your local time
Duration: 60 min
Cost: free eSeminar

Come experience the CAESAR II Static Load Case Editor in the live webinar with Richard Aye, P.E. The Static Load Case Editor is very powerful, providing complete control and customization of static load cases.

Expand your analysis capabilities of load conditions in the editor through the use ofload case multipliers. Learn how load case multipliers can extend loading conditions beyond what is specified in the piping input. Load case multipliers can be used to adjust the contribution of any linear load primitive.  Load case multipliers should not be used with non-linear load primitives, such as temperature.

Check out this webinar and attain a greater understanding of load primitives, load cases, load case multipliers, and the options in the Static Load Case Editor that provide a strong foundation for properly assessing the behavior of piping systems under a variety of operating scenarios.

Speaker bio:

Richard Ay is a registered professional engineer who serves as the vice president for analysis products. In 1985, at the request of Tony Paulin, one of the founders of COADE, Ay joined the company, which later became part of Intergraph. He has worked on the development of CAESAR II, TANK, product licensing, QA, technical support procedures, and technical presentations. Ay has previous experience at a major EPC firm and an offshore consulting firm. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Ocean Engineering and a master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
